2026 Wildfire Mutual Aid & Community Resources

Wildfires continue to burn across Turtle Island, deeply affecting Indigenous communities and with wildfire season starting to ramp up, ICA is providing a list of resources to reach out to for support. This list is ongoing and will be updated as resources come up including shared links to mutual aid and emergency relief funds for those who can offer support. 

As of July 30, 2026, there are:

• 25 First Nations impacted by wildland fires:

  • 17 British Columbia

  • 2 Saskatchewan

  • 1 Manitoba

  • 5 Ontario

13 First Nations evacuated due to the impacts of wildland fires:

• 6 British Columbia

• 1 Saskatchewan

• 1 Manitoba

• 5 Ontario

2,837 individuals currently evacuated from First Nations due to wildland fires!

Indigenous communities continue to experience the impacts of increasingly severe wildfire seasons. As evacuations and emergency responses continue across Turtle Island, we must bring together wildfire relief resources, donation opportunities, and community-led mutual aid initiatives. We will continue updating this list as new resources become available.
